Josh Sugarman, Co-Founder and Creative Director

Writer-Director Josh Sugarman is a Co-Founder of TruthThroughAction.org and the group’s Creative Director.  His background in both Democratic politics and independent film is indicative of the sorts of professionals TTA is working to bring together.  Before pursuing a film career, Sugarman was a political staffer and consultant in Massachusetts, working with over a dozen progressive incumbents, hopefuls and community organizations.  As a filmmaker, he’s a partner in YaSu Media – an independent producer of feature films with several projects in the late stages of development.  His recent credits include shorts “The Banker and the Basebal” (soon to be released)(writer-producer), “Blue Balled” (2008)(writer-director-editor) and “American Centurion” (2008)(co-writer-director-editor).  Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Sugarman is a 2005 graduate of Brandeis University (B.A., Politics) and a 2008 graduate of Columbia University’s School of Law (J.D.) where he also studied at the film school.  He currently lives in Manhattan.

Brandon Yankowitz, Co-Founder and Director of Production

Producer and attorney Brandon Yankowitz is a Co-Founder of TruthThroughAction.org and oversees its various production efforts.  He’s the founder and President of 2one2 Entertainment, Inc., a promotional marketing company based out of Manhattan, that develops and executes large-scale events for product launches, movie and record release parties, politicians and political action groups.  He was a campus representative for Al Gore’s 2000 presidential bid and worked with Sen. Edwards’ effort in 2008.  As a filmmaker, Yankowitz is a partner in YaSu Media – an independent producer of feature films with several projects in the late stages of development.  His recent credits include “The Banker and the Baseball” (soon to be released)(co-producer), “Blue Balled” (2008)(producer) and “American Centurion” (2008)(producer).  Originally from Great Neck, New York, he is a 2004 graduate of Brandeis University (B.A. in Politics) and a 2007 graduate of New York Law (J.D.).  Brandon is a member of the New York State and New Jersey State Bars.  He currently lives in Manhattan.

Patrick Pavone, Co-Founder and Political Director

Political Director Patrick Pavone is a Co-Founder of TruthThrougAction.org and oversees its message and fundraising.  He is the former Northeast Finance Director for Sen. John Edwards 2008 Presidential Campaign.  As a political fundraiser, Patrick has worked on campaigns ranging from the New York City Council level, to New York State-wide campaigns, to the Edwards Presidential bid.  Originally from Northport, New York, he is a 2004 graduate of New York University (B.A. in Politics) and 2007 graduate of New York Law School (J.D).  He currently lives in Manhattan.
